HARRISBURG Michael C. Fritz, 37, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 18, 2011, at his residence. Born December 16, 1973, in Harrisburg, he was the son of Robert L. Fritz of Carthage, Ill., and Delores (Goodyear) Anstine of York.

 
A service to celebrate the life of Mike will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, with the Rev. Charles Salisbury officiating. Mike’s family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, and again on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Freysville Cemetery.
 
In addition to his mother and father, Mike is survived by a stepfather, Harold Anstine of York; a stepmother, Lila Fritz of Carthage, Ill.; an aunt, Phyllis Gould of New Cumberland; paternal grandmother, Louise Fritz of Harrisburg; an uncle, David Fritz and his wife, Joanne of Harrisburg; a stepsister, Erin Fink of Carthage, Ill.; his cousins, Lee and Peter; and a niece and nephews. Mike was predeceased by a stepbrother, Robby White; his maternal grandparents, Herman and Ethel Goodyear; and his paternal grandfather, Robert Fritz.
 
Mike was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School and received his Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Survey from HACC. He was a Referee for Women’s Roller Derby, a member of the Capital Area Swing Dancers, the Ski Round Top Racing Team, and an East Coast Snowboard Racing Team. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the owner and operator of Fritz Hydroseeding and Excavation Co. in Harrisburg and was later employed by Classic Community Builders.
 
Mike’s family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory be made to either St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356; or to Freysville Cemetery Association, c/o Horace Gibson, 218 W.
